CONCEPTUAL FORM
Spatial Field
architecture as an art form
A spatial field is a translation of positive psychology into a geometric language.
The design intent is to create a behavioral structure composed of emotions as 3D space.
The form is a series of 3D volumes and the content is the emotions implied by the geometry of the spaces.
Architecture suggests emotion by having the space shape the personal space of the individual in the space.
For example:
A sphere is space that expands in all directions from a point and would be a spatial synonym for tranquility.
A cone is a space that expands from a point along an axis and would be a spatial synonym for contemplation.
A behavioral structure is a combination of the noun and verb forms of spatial synonyms.
The verb form of a sphere would be tranquility and the noun form would be peace.
The verb form of a cone would be contemplation and the noun form would be a thought.
A behavioral structure combining a sphere and a cone.
The verb form would be tranquil contemplation and the noun form would be a peaceful thought.
The following are a series of original architectural art collage sketches combining architecture, art, and psychology-landscape metaphors(art) that suggest spatial synonyms(architecture) for introspection(psychology) including:
a memory, a reflection, and a dream
